What is a Family Storytelling Session?

This is a great question. To us, a Family Storytelling Session is the alternative to your typical family portrait session. Instead of posed, looking directly at the camera imagery, you will see imagery that displays much more connection, love, action, and often times sadness or sorrow. Inspired by the true documentary style or photojournalism style of photography, Family Storytelling Sessions are mostly unscripted sessions that allow you to go about your every day life and activities while we capture as many of those moments as we can. That way, you receive a beautiful, accurate representation of how your every day life really looks.

Family Storytelling Sessions are an Extraordinary Story of an Ordinary Day

Can you be in two places at once? Not usually. :)  Often, very special moments are missed because we can only be in one place at one time. So, we miss moments that we might have really wanted to see!

Your children, who often are at odds with each other are really sitting behind the couch talking and eventually giving each other a beautiful hug! Did you see that? Most likely not as you were with your other child who needed attention. But, WE can capture that for you! (even if your children do not want us to do that) Those are the "melt your heart" moments that give you great joy and help you remember that your kids still do care for each other!
