You Are Free to Fly Senior Portrait Sessions are a celebration of all of that.

Not just a collection of senior photos, but photographs that tell the story of who they are right now. Because this version of them won't come around again.

We'll choose a local Belgrade or Bozeman location that fits them and create up to an hour of photographs that reflect their personality, interests, accomplishments, style and spirit.

The goal isn't to make them look like someone else's senior. It's to make photographs that could only belong to them.

We'll take a few minutes for the family.

Every You Are Free to Fly session includes a 15 minute family mini session for the senior and their parents.

Because while this day is about celebrating them, it's also about acknowledging the people who helped them get there.

Fifteen minutes might not sound like much. But, someday, those photographs may be among the ones you treasure the most. They may be the last professional family photographs you have before all the children are grown.

So, we'll make time for them.

What if my senior doesn't know what they want?

That's completely normal.

They don't have to arrive with a Pinterest board and a vision. At the Discovery Call, we'll talk about what they enjoy, what matters to them and where they feel most like themselves. Most of the time, the story becomes clear once we start talking.

What if they're uncomfortable in front of the camera?

That's ok! Most people aren't accustomed to having a camera follow them around for an hour. They don't need to know how to pose. I'll give them direction when they need it and prompts that allow their personality to come through naturally.

The goal is not to turn them into a model. It's to let me photograph the person you already know and love.

What should they wear?

The most important thing is that they feel like themselves. We'll talk through wardrobe before the session at our Discovery Call and consider location, season, personaltiy and the overall feeling you want from the photographs.

There is no need to re create someone else's senior photos.

These should belong to them.

How long does a session take and where are they held?

You Are Free to Fly Senior Portraits are held at a local Bozeman or Belgrade, Montana location and last up to 60 minutes.

Cherry River, Glen Lake Rotary Park, Hyalite Reservoir and Missouri Headwaters State Park are my favorites!

Why include family?

Because a senior year isn't only a story about where they're going. It's also a story about where they came from.

The people who raised them.

The siblings who grew up beside them.

And, the strange, beautiful realization that the little person you once carries is now preparing to leave home.

We can't stop time. But we can photograph this moment before it changes.

What is Included in the Family Mini Session?

You will receive a time together to celebrate each other, up to 15 minutes of photography together and all final digital images.

What is Contribution Based Pricing?

Every family deserves beautiful photographs that tell their story. That's why I've chosen to do things a little differently.

My hope is to make professional photography accessible to more families while continuing to do what I love. If my work blesses you, your contribution helps make it possible for me to continue creating meaningful images for others.

Depending on the session type, families choose to contribute an amount that reflects the value they received along with the experience of the photographer. But, it is ultimately up to you.
