This year marks 8 years since I have known the Eickman family! Ever since Ben was one, I have seen them almost every year for updated family portraits. That tells me something...that they care and value seeing their family's love on display in their home. Even through a pandemic year, we met to showcase their love and connection.

Capturing all expressions tells the story of the moment.

Not all expressions have to be facing the camera and smiling. Often, kids expressions can be hilarious, sad, or even mad. And, that is ok! We like kids to be kids. It is authentically them, in that moment. We captured a lot of great expressions with Ben and Audrey at Big Rock Forest Preserve in Big Rock, IL. This preserve is a hidden gem with a huge quarry lake, suspension bridge and plenty of forest areas and prairies.

It is about a life long relationship.

Seeing the same families year after year and seeing their children grow up is so valuable to us. We love developing relationships with our clients, more than just being their photographer. We are proud to call the Eickman family our friends and look forward to seeing them every year!
