Senior portraits are about celebrating a life-your senior's life. Having been in education for 13 years at least, many milestones and accomplishments have occurred. Especially the last four years in high school. And, those are definitely worth documenting! The last year in high school is all about being right on the edge of "adulthood" and going into the  next huge season of their life-whether that is a trade school, job, college, or the armed forces. Or-something else.

For parents, it is bittersweet. At least for me, it was! Seeing my children graduate from high school was wonderful as I was so happy for them, but also, sad, because right then and there I knew they were going to be on their own someday. The transitions can be challenging and emotional in many ways.

Having portraits of your senior at this stage of life is priceless and valuable. Just like with any portraits taken at any stage or year, having the ability to view an album of your images with a friend will call to mind many memories that you had in school. For the parents, it is remembering your children at that age and thinking back to when they were first born, or one of the many milestones that occurred in their life. It is truly wonderful.
