October is the most popular month in my area for outdoor portrait sessions. Usually, we see beautiful reds, oranges, and yellows on our trees which makes for a beautiful setting.

It is also hit or miss with the weather! We could have a 60 degree day on Wednesday and snow on Friday. Still, somehow everything always works out.

The Eickmans have been a part of the Songs of Life family for about six years, every since Ben was a baby, and I am so glad they return to update their portraits every year. Seeing Ben and Audrey grow up is truly a treasure for me!

Our day was extremely windy and somewhat chilly, but you never would have known it by looking at the images.

Big Rock Forest Preserve was our location, and we managed to find a few leaves that had not blown away to have fun with!
