Who does not LOVE one year olds? They are finally past all the changes that occur during that first year, are usually mobile in some form or another, and are able to showcase their personality more and more.
When my four children were younger, another local paper hosted a one day a month event at a local photographers studio so all the soon to be one year olds could be photographed. Those images were then given to the local paper and featured in the paper. What a great way to celebrate your child's birthday!
And, now, it is happening again with Shaw Media in my local area, and I am honored to be the photographer. One day every month the studio will be open from 9-11 am so soon to be one year olds can be photographed and showcased in the paper.
Appointments are necessary~ This will help avoid the "standing around and waiting" for your turn and be much easier for those who attend. Especially the children!
Here are the details-
For children celebrating their first birthday BEFORE December 1st-SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT ON WEDNESDAY, OCT. 24 between 9-11.
For children celebrating their birthday IN December-SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 28TH between 9-11 am.
For children celebrating their birthday IN January- SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19TH between 9-11 am.
Questions?
How long is the session? The session will last about 10 minutes, and about 3-4 images will be taken.
Can I purchase some of those images? YES! If you would like to purchase prints or digital files, or any other product, those are available. Just talk to Linda about that.
When will the pictures be published in the paper? Good question! I have to get confirmation on this-but, I believe they will be published the following week after the images have been taken.
Why are the sessions so short? These are not full sessions, just a quick session to be able to showcase your child for the paper.
Who picks the image to put in the paper? Linda will choose the best image from the 3 or 4 that were taken. She will choose the best expression and one that is very complimentary to your child.
